Step 4 - Legs, legs, legs, legs!

I make a skeletal outline of the position of the legs in this stage. The pose I'm doing here is remarkably un-dynamic, unfortunately. For a more dynamic pose, I recommend placing the legs in different positions, or stretched back hard against the body. Michael Whelan's 'Dragonflight' picture is a really good exaple of a simple pose that's made really dynamic by stretching everything to its limit.
